Intensive Russian Strikes Cut Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced problems to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has escalated strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while officials has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and applying sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to restore power.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, according to city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes overnight. A young boy lost their life and three other people were hurt.

The strikes succeed periods of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to identify.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were anticipating more assaults.
